Self-Assembled Monolayers on Mesoporous Supports

Catalyst

The high surface area and high functional density make it possible (if desired) to achieve very high catalyst loading in SAMMS™. The rigid, open pore structure allows for facile diffusion into the porous matrix, thereby allowing for rapid turnover, and hence chemical conversion. With the variety of different ligand fields that have been developed for SAMMS™ it is possible to support a wide variety of different catalyst chemistries using SAMMS™ as a high-performance support. In addition, SAMMS™ can be used to recover expensive (or environmentally problematic) catalyst species.
